Can the police do this?

Okay, so first off im not doing this for people to hate on me , or my now ex boyfriend. Im doing this for y'all to tell me what you think i should do. For starters , i am 15 years old. my birthday is April 9 , 1996. My [ex] boyfriends is May 15 , 1992. That makes him 19, we are 3 years 11 months apart. I have heard the age law where i live in Tennessee is 4 years, but i also have heard it is 3 years. im not completely sure. Anyways, about 3 weeks ago my mom tried calling my cell phone , i was still asleep and at his house {his name is brent] i didnt answer, so she called the house i was SUPPOSED to be at , witch was my friend cindys. ( who is also brent's cousin) Me and him usually stay the night there together , but we decided to stay at his house the last 2 nights before this happened, and i just told my mom i was at Cindys. Well , i didnt wake up til about 2 hours later. i woke up to the cops at Brent's house. Turns out , they were looking for me. My mom put a amber alert out for me . as a runaway. I WASNT RUNNING AWAY. The cop put me in the back of a cop car, and took me to the court house were my mother was , they gave me a pee drug test and i failed it with Meth & weed. I DID NOT DO METH . and i smoked a few hits of weed. but anyways, they took Brent to jail for contributing to a minor , he got out on bail for 500 dollars. they made him sign a no contact order. were he can not see , text, or talk to me in ANY WAY. well , we did break it. i love that boy and i couldn't handle not talking to him . and he couldn't handle not talking to me. My "friend" Daniel , snitched. And told my mom me & brent was talking. (at first she said she was gonna let us talk no matter what the judge says , as long as i didnt talk to him until after court) she changed her mind when i lied to her about talking to him. We went to court and she told them we broke the no contact order. and he went back to jail and is still in jail. He gets out in 2 days Probably . but he has been in there for over a week. Also, they gave me a hair drug test and i ped it COMPLETELY. so don't accuse me of doing drugs. Also, the cop told me that even after i turn 18 that i still can't talk to Brent. EVEN IF ME AND HIM WANT TO. he will go back to jail. Can they do that? some people tell me that when im 18 im grown , and they cant tell me who i can or cant talk to as long as we go to court and get it changed. i know i wont be 18 for another 2 years and 9 months , and he might not be around then. but i atleast would want him as a friend. so please tell me if they really can do this? I have done nothing but cry , i wear his shirt to bed almost every night. i miss him. and my friend went and saw him in jail the other day and he told her to tell me that he loves me , misses me , and he promises things will be different. i miss him so much . and can barely stand to sleep without him. Please tell me when im 18 i CAN talk to him no matter who likes it. as long as we get the no contact order took off.
