Purchasing vs Rescuing?

My opinion: With rescuing, most people don't look at pricing. These dogs have been abused and neglected that they need help, love, and companionship. I have met many people who have rescued dogs, and price never comes to mind and who are willing to put the time and effort to train abused and neglected dogs. Yes, there are some people who look at pricing, but these are the people who have never owned a dog or expierenced the responsibility of having a dog. Not to mention that there are animal shelters who have a kill policy after a number of days or weeks that many shelters emphasize on adopting or rescuing. I live close by to an animal shelter who would euthanize dogs after approximately 10 days due to the fact that there's way too much dogs and not enough room. So to answer your question, yes and no depending on the owners. To be honest, the question should be how to prevent owners from mistreating their dogs so they don't end up in animal shelters. Or what's a better plan to keep dogs from being neglected and abused... along these lines.
