What should I do? (Buy a digital box or buy cable)?

So i've been saving money by not buying cable. While my friends are paying for their cable (which i watch!), i save on cable bills every month b/c i have an excellent antenna connection and I receive like 8 channels... abc, nbc, cw, mynetworktv, you know.. all the channels that matter. The only channels I would really benefit from cable is the discovery channel, TLC, the women's television network etc. b/c you can't receive those channels with an antenna no matter how hard you try. Anyways so now that this whole digital thing is coming up, i'm kinda screwed and i need some helping deciding on what to do. If i can find a cheap digital box (like $50 or so), then i'm gonna just get that for sure and go that route. But what if I can't find a cheap one? Should I just start paying for cable? Cable that I don't really need or want?!? What would you do? I'm pretty sure i already know what i'm gonna do but i just wanted to get some feedback on this. thanks..
